St. Catherine Hospital is a European centre of excellence and a member of the prestigious group “The Leading Hospitals of The World” and is co-owned by one of the largest German healthcare chains. The hospital is a teaching base of the Medical Faculty of the University of Split and Osijek and the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb, and collaborates with leading European and American clinics like Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin (Germany), Diagnostikum Graz (Austria), Carolina’s Pain Institute (USA), etc. As a part of an international consortium, the Hospital has recently received support from the European Commission under the Seventh Framework Programme (Seventh Framework Programme – FP7) for the project “Multi-dimensional omics approach to classification of patients with lower back pain” for which a total of 7.2 million Euro funding was approved.

Specialty Hospital St. Catherine is the official hospital of the Croatian Football Federation, FC Dinamo, FC Hajduk, IHC Medveščak, FC Split, FC Slaven Belupo, FC Istra 1961, FC Lokomotiva, HC Podravka, and hospital doctors are either leaders or members of Croatian Olympic Committee medical teams, and a number of sports federations.
